The skills tree, also known as The Chiming Tree in ScourgeBringer provides players an opportunity to strengthen their character by specializing in certain skills and playstyles.

List of Skills[]

There are currently 29 available skills at The Chiming tree, spread over 7 branches. The branches do not appear to follow a specific theme for skills, but it should be noted that the first branch contains more defence oriented skills, the second contains combo oriented skills, the third contains attack oriented skills, the fourth contains blood oriented skills and the fifth contains heavier attack oriented skills.

Ground Pound

Creates a wave attack upon landing on the ground from a Dash. Branch 1
Resilient

Dirty Barry
Skill 1-4.png
Bullets fired by BLAST.32 deal 50% more damage to stunned enemies. Branch 1
Lightning Travel
Skill 2-1.png
Allows you to fast travel to any visited room from the map. Branch 2
Combo
Skill 2-2.png
Builds a combo meter based on your speed and attack variety. The bigger the meter, the more the droplets! Combo gets halved if hit. Branch 2
Deadly Combo
Skill 2-3.png
Taking down enemies counts twice as much for the ongoing combo. Branch 2
Deep Breath
Skill 2-4.png
Combos break 25% slower when there's no enemy around and completely stop close to shops or altars. Branch 2
Lethal Club
Skill 3-1.png
Allows you to throw bullets back at enemies with the Smash, inflicting a lot of damage on impact, and also using the force to slightly recharge BLAST.32. Branch 3

Crystallization
Skill 3-2.png
The accumulated Blood converts into Judge Blood when going back to the Tree from being knocked out (1 for 1300). Branch 3

Fury (Q)
Skill 3-3.png
Allows you to perform a Fury that recharges over time, and that also destroys all enemy projectiles. Branch 3

Manual Override

Allows you to prioritize an attack zone during the Fury by aiming. Branch 3

Charging Fury
Skill 3-5.png
Projectiles destroyed by the Fury are converted into ammunition for the BLAST.32, and maybe HP. Branch 3

Striking Smash
Skill 4-1.png
Smashed enemies are projected toward other enemies, inflicting more damage upon contact (and stunning them if vulnerable). Branch 4

Bet
Skill 4-2.png
Smashing an item from Greed will transmute it into a more rare item of the same type, adding 50% to its expected price (up to a maximum of 200%, and a rotation of 3 items). Branch 4

Round-Trip Slap

Dashing on a stunned enemy will extend the stun duration by 50%. Branch 4

Living Dangerously

Smashing a looted item has a 40% chance to transmute it into a superior version of the same item (otherwise the item is converted into 25% of its Blood value). Branch 4

Allows you to sacrifice HP to an Altar of Blood so that it yields a set of new Blessings. Branch 4

Gyroscopic Compass

When standing still, BLAST.32 will point toward the next Guardian, or toward the Judge if the Guardians have been taken down. Branch 5

Extreme Torque

The more an enemy has been rapidly hit by slashes, the more a Smash will be powerful on it. Branch 5

Concussion

Smashed enemies are stunned for 50% longer (or 25% on Judges) if they hit a wall or another enemy while being stunned. Branch 5

Dragon Punch

Allows you to combine the Smash and Dash attacks together to perform the most savage counter attack. Has a 4.0 seconds cooldown. Branch 5

Dash Linking

You can perform a very long Dash attack right after eliminating an enemy with a Dash attack. Branch 6

Biting Back

When an enemy hits you, it will get marked for 2.0 seconds and will receive 50% more damage while the mark lasts. Branch 6

Persistant Blessing

Allows you to start a run with a random Blood Blessing from the previous run, providing that you found at least 3 Blessings in the previous run. Branch 6

Truth Seeker

You denied Judge V’s Judgment. Allows access to the Roots of Chaos by diving into the pool by the Tree. What can possibly lie beyond? Branch 7

Dirty Barry was modified in the Beta 1.30 version. The previous description was "Allows you to start the ordeal with a more powerful BLAST .32 revolver".

Round-Trip Slap replaced Raining Blood in the Beta 1.30 version. The Raining Blood description was "Judges Drop 200% more Judge Blood".
